From today, Concord Bank customers are able to use Apple Pay, an easy, secure and personalized payment tool that completely changes the scope of mobile payments, offering speed and convenience.
Security and privacy are at the core of Apple Pay. When you add a credit or debit card to Apple Pay, the number itself is not stored on the device or on Apple's servers. Instead, a unique device account number is assigned that is encrypted and stored securely in your device's "Safe Item" chip.
Each transaction is logged with a unique one-time, secret code generated dynamically.
Apple Pay is easy to set up: customers can add a credit or debit card through the Wallet app. The stores can pay with Apple Pay with iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and later models, and Apple Watch.
Apple Pay allows you to easily shop in apps and websites with one touch of a Touch ID or double-click the side button and look at the iPhone X to confirm the transaction through Face ID.
Now there is no longer a need to manually fill in large documents with contact information or re-enter shipping and billing information. When paying for purchases in apps or in Safari, Apple Pay works on iPhone 6 or newer models on the iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 and newer models. You can also use Apple Pay in the Safari browser on any Mac not older than 2012 year release with the macOS Sierra installed on your computer, while confirming payment from your iPhone 6 or newer model, either directly from the Apple Watch, or by touch. Finger to Touch ID on the new MacBook Pro.
