Olena Sosiedka about the results of the Web Summit: Our philosophy of partnership instead of competition within ecosystems is supported by more and more colleagues in Ukraine

In Ukraine, the creation of ecosystems is becoming a noticeable trend, and more and more companies in the field of fintech, finance and IT are adopting this philosophy. This statement following the results of the international IT conference Web Summit was made by the founder of Concord Fintech Solutions Olena Sosedka.

“Last year we announced the creation of the first open fintech ecosystem in Ukraine, Concord Fintech Solutions, where the priority was the format of partnership instead of competition. During this time, we have successfully implemented a number of international projects, including a joint project with Alif Bank, a digital bank from Tajikistan, as well as Simp!y neobank of the mobile operator Beeline Kazakhstan. In addition, we launched the Ukrainian NEOBANK. This year, within the framework of the Ukrainian pavilion at the Web Summit, a large Ukrainian IT ecosystem was presented, which united the efforts of various product and IT companies to attract foreign investment and develop a network in the international market. We are excited to partner with this even more global ecosystem”, – emphasized Olena Sosiedka.

The high competitiveness of Ukrainian companies was also noted by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, which was one of the initiators of the presentation of the Ukrainian IT ecosystem at the Web Summit this year.

“Projects from Ukraine were positively received by our colleagues from other countries. Fintech ecosystem Concord Fintech Solutions, along with other companies from our pool, adequately represented Ukraine at the summit. This case is another proof that we know how to create strong competitive products“, – noted Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Borniakov.

The level of organization of the Ukrainian booth and synergy between all Web Summit participants from Ukraine showed a high readiness to establish new international partnerships.

“The Ukrainian booth was one of the brightest and most visited at this year's Web Summit. Of particular note is the synergy between the private sector and government bodies, which made it possible to adequately represent our country. Significant efforts have been made on the part of government agencies - the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Digital Transformation - to organize the participants and present them as a single organism, a single IT ecosystem”, – added the founder of the Concord Fintech Solutions.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Startup Fund, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of Ukraine in Portugal, NGO Development of IT Education, Sigma Software Group, Ukrainian Hub, EVA, as well as iplace digital agency and partners: Digital Future, Kyivstar, Parimatch Tech, Rocket, Fondy, Avenga, ISSP and UNIT.City also took part in the organization of the Ukrainian booth at the Web Summit conference in Lisbon.
